We have created an artificial world, one that simulates and imitates reality, but is, nonetheless, unreal. We do not even see the earth on which we walk. Our noise has drowned out the music of the universe. We prefer our creations to His creation. We think our reality is all there is, and we are very deceived. This artificial world we have created pushes God out, and as such, has left us spiritually impoverished. The people of the earth are thirsty for something real and do not know where to find it. The church, now preoccupied with lesser pursuits, needs to get back to helping the hurting and ministering Christ in the true Spirit of Christ. Hear their cry, “Sir, we would see Jesus” (John 12:21). Let’s keep our eyes on Jesus and His mission for us. Lesser pursuits become evil in light of our overriding mission.
“Let your eyes look directly ahead and let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you. Watch the path of your feet and all your ways will be established. Do not turn to the right nor to the left; Turn your foot from evil.” (Proverbs 4:25-27 NASB)
