God is bringing about the reconciliation of the world to Himself through Messiah. This He accomplished by “not counting their transgressions against them.” He has committed to us this same ministry of reconciliation. It is not our business to hold the sins of persons against them whom God is in the process of reconciling. Sin has been dealt with on the cross. Our job is to be agents of reconciliation, knowing the tender mercies God had for us is available to all.
“God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.” 2 Corinthians 5:19 (NASB)
