Everyone worships. The question is What or Whom? Idolatry is still the chief problem of humankind; it is still an ever present pitfall. Its only cure is to love God with our whole being and to ever be on the guard against the divided heart. Look at what has become central to your life; look at what dominates your thinking. Have you allowed another god to infringe on the one true God? Do your values betray you? Does your heart check you? There is room in your heart and life for but one God.
Father, I want You to reign in my heart without rival. I want You to be the center of my soul’s vision. If it be otherwise, may I be fully open to the checks of Your Spirit. Amen!
