The way believers are to act and react in every area of their lives should be based on the nature of God. What is the nature of God? What is God like? Look at Jesus! We see God in the face of Jesus. We know what He is like because we have seen Jesus. Jesus is the benchmark we come back to for the way we live our lives. Acting on God’s nature, as it is revealed in Christ, is the goal of our formation. To say it another way, we are to live out the Nature of our Father. Let His DNA shine through you.
“So Jesus said to them, ‘Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise.’” John 5:19 (ESV)
