God has called us out and enlisted us in His ecclesia (church). We are the company of the called-out-ones who have attested allegiance to the Kingdom of God. The King of this kingdom has ultimate claim on us. We are to be completely loyal to Him, engaged in His work. We have willing minds and obedient hearts for His mission. We want no disloyalty to be found in our thoughts by longing for other kingdoms, their promises and allurements. We follow the call gladly.
“As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a loyal heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts and understands all the intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will cast you off forever.” 1 Chronicles 28:9 (NKJV)
