In a relationship! Really? Yes! In a relationship with Jesus Christ. This relationship puts all other relationships in place. It will mess up your old ways; but your life will no longer be the mess that it was. It will untangle your thinking, change your morals and ethics, it will reorder your values. Since you are in this Jesus-relationship, tell Him everything. Let Him open your heart and look in (He already knows). Listen to Him; invite Him to change the things that need to be changed and then ruthlessly surrender up to Him all of those things He shows you. Cooperate with Him in changing everything that must be changed; that is called repentance, you know.
Jesus, thank you for letting the likes of us live in a dynamic relationship with You. May we never take that gift for granted; may we never neglect it. Amen
