Father, our days are passing as “a flower of the field.” May its short bloom be a gift to You. May this flower be nourished with Your unfading enduring Word and the Water of Life. May those who pass and see this flower see the “loving kindness of the Lord.” May we reflect the beauty of the One who said, “I am the Rose of Sharon and the Lily of the Valleys.” Grant grace that we would be faithful, without complaint, to bloom where we are. Amen!
“As for man, his days are like grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourishes. When the wind has passed over it, it is no more, And its place acknowledges it no longer. But the lovingkindness of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children’s children, To those who keep His covenant And remember His precepts to do them.” Psalms 103:15-18 (NASB)
