“If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.” (Mark 3:24 NRSV). “A constantly squabbling family disintegrates.” (Mark 3:24 NLT). “A kingdom divided by civil war will collapse” (Mark 3:24 NLT). The enemy of the church is using politics, nationalism, and tribalism to divide the church of Christ. In our desire to be right and to win we play right into Satan’s devices. The unity of the Body of Christ is important to the Head of the Church; the Father wants unity among His children.
“I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.” Ephesians 4:1-3 (ESV)
