We often attempt to narrow our salvation and the atonement to the cross and resurrection. What we must understand is that everything that Christ was in His person and everything that He did was to accomplish our full rescue. His incarnation, the life He lived, the teachings he gave us to follow, the temptations He overcame, His death, burial, resurrection, ascension, the gift of the Spirit, His present intercession, and His second coming are all necessary pieces of full atonement and our final rescue. Think of all He is and all He accomplished and then sing, “Hallelujah! What A Savior!”
Lord Jesus, thank You for the fullness of what You have accomplished for our salvation. Thank You for the lengths to which You went to rescue us, bringing a full deliverance.
