There is a cleansing from sin by confession (I Jn 1:9).  There is also a daily cleansing that comes by walking in the light (I Jn 1:7).  Walking in the Light is nothing less than a disciple following Jesus the Light.  This is walking in obedience to our Lord.  Such a disciple does not rest in an initial confession, but has chosen the path of discipleship as a serious follower of Jesus.  The result of this relationship is cleansing.  Walking in obedience with Jesus is walking with our Jubilee, sins forgiven and debts paid.

“If we say that we have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth; but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 1:6-7 (NASB)
