If you have died with Christ, if you have been raised with Christ, and if your life “is hidden with Christ in God,” then you are to “Seek those things which are above…set your mind on things above.” This is not isolationism. It is gaining perspective. It is living with the right worldview. It will save us from the idolatries around us. It will keep us from being swept away by cultural streams. It will keep us from wandering. It will elevate life above the ordinary. It will enhance true Christian identity.
“If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” Col 3:1-3 (NKJV)
