Jesus said, “I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming. He has no claim on me” John 14:30 (ESV). Satan is always looking for something in us through which he can make a claim on us, get a hook in us, plant a seed, or find a passion to which He can appeal. We, of course, are never beyond the grasp of temptation in this life. As we grow and mature in Christlikeness, our goal should be that Satan finds less and less in us to which he can appeal.
