Sanctification is not a pursuit limited to super Christians.  To begin with, there is no such thing as a super Christian.  Sanctification is the daily pursuit of Christlikeness for all believers.  It is not a point of arrival, but a point of departure.  It is not a possession, but is about Who possesses us.   It is growth in grace and spiritual formation.  It is what it means to belong entirely to God.  It belongs to no denomination.  No group has a copyright on it, not even my tribe.  Sanctification is the pursuit of the divine likeness.  It is the claim laid on us by the plan of the Father, the death of the Son and the abiding Holy Spirit.  It is that for which God pursued us and that for which we pursue God.

“Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:12 (NASB)
