Jesus amazingly invited Himself to be a guest in the home of Zaccheus. Jesus was not invited. He invited Himself. His host joyfully responded. Jesus invites Himself so that He might give us His hospitality. His Presence changes us and makes us comfortable in our own skin. The Guest becomes the Host, and it feels so right. The acceptance of His unconditional love brings peace. His hospitality teaches us how to give it to others.
”Zaccheus, hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house.” Luke 19:5b (NASB).
