God is Light and not darkness. God is good and not evil. He can do no evil and promote no evil, because He is good. God is the giver of grace. It is freely given to all who will receive it. The Father is the giver of the Spirit and freely gives to those who ask Him. The God who does not cause evil is at work making good come out of evil. The God who one day will put all wrongs right is even now working in our lives to make bad things turn out right. His light now glows in the midst of darkness.
“This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.” 1 John 1:5 (KJV)
