In this Christian walk, we discover that some of the things we thought we had surrendered once-and-for-all to the Lord have actually picked up again.  We said we had given up mammon for Him, only to find ourselves again in hasty pursuit of it.  Covetousness and greed slipped in the side door.  We give up power to find ourselves craving it for ourselves and our tribe.  It is not always easy to leave something unconditionally with the Lord.  The daily surrender is the test of our initial surrender.  We must continually keep Christ as our all-in-all or allow Him to subtly become less.

“Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.” Hebrews 2:1 (KJV)
