The manner of Peter’s death had just been prophesied by Jesus. So Peter pointed to John and “Said to Jesus, ‘Lord, and what about this man?’ Jesus said to him, ‘If I want him to remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow Me!’” (Jn 21:21-22, NASB). The Lord does not take us all by the same route. Submit to that. Do not point to another and accuse your Lord of being unfair. Your job is to follow Jesus. He knows what He is doing!
