Previously learned truth in us often awaits another piece of truth, like a catalyst that will explode with new and deeper insight.  The unanswered questions and partial understandings of yesterday are joined with today’s discoveries to sharpen and deepen our grasp of truth.  We are students of the greatest Jewish Rabbi who ever lived.  He embodied the Word.  He is the incarnation of it.  We read the OT through the lens of Jesus, or else we misunderstand it.  He is the great end of Scripture and the Great Treasure that is ever being discovered.  What an adventure!  What a quest!

“He said to them, ‘Therefore every teacher of the law who has been instructed about the kingdom of heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.’” Matthew 13:52 (NIV)
