We are not only called to run the race (Heb 12:1), we are also called to help others to complete it.  We run better when we run with others.  We do better when we help each other.  Let’s help the crippled ones win the race.  Let’s help the ones with bad knees and ankles.  Let’s help the old ones, the young ones and the slow ones.  Let’s help the unfocused ones to focus.  Let’s cheer them on.  Let’s pick them up.  Never underestimate the power of encouraging words given to fellow runners.

“Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed.  Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.  See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God.”  Hebrews 12:12-15a (ESV)
