In our computer world icons are the short-cuts that get us to apps and software on which we have come to depend. In the Greek of 2 Corinthians 4:4 we learn that Jesus is the Icon of God. Jesus, by incarnation, came to us so that we might know the God who is. He is the Way to God, He is the Life of God and He is the Truth of God (John 14:6). The One who was “with God and was God” (John 1:1) is now God with us (Matthew 1:23). God is like Jesus. To truly know Jesus is to truly know God. Let this Icon be your most used One! It is not a cheap grace shortcut to heaven, but He is the LINK to God! Connect! Know! Yield! Grow!
