It is not safe to be left in the world without the Teacher. It is just as treacherous to teach presumptively based on our own thinking. The Holy Spirit can give us a clear revelation of Jesus if we will let Him lift the cultural fog from our eyes to see Messiah more clearly. This revelation is not a one moment religious experience, but comes in a lifetime of being attuned to the words of our Lord, being in conversation with Him and living in His presence.
Holy Spirit, keep your watch over our thinking. Bring new light to our minds so that we can discern truth from subtle errors suggested by the enemy. May we not confuse knowledge with truth. May we never be puffed up by what You have taught us. Grant that we may humbly learn from what You have taught others. No one of us possesses all truth; this You have given to the whole body of Christ. Spirit, we would see Jesus. Live in us and with us to that end. Amen!
