Generosity is not always about how much you give.  It is to give from a generous heart what you have.  Jesus observed the offering of the widow’s two small copper coins and noted that she had given more than the rich.  Generosity involves holding money and material things loosely.  It is driven by love of another person or commitment to a cause.  Generosity is always a heart issue.  A generous heart releases the grip of the hand and frees it to open up.

“I tell you the truth,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others. All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.” Luke 21:3-4 (NIV)
