Evil is so repulsive it can never present itself to us as it is.  Because we know that we are to embrace only the good, evil wraps itself in the good to be acceptable to us.  The false comes to us in sheep’s clothing to hide its wolf nature.  It pretends to be one of us so that it can consume us.  To the people of light, “Satan disguises himself as an angel of light” (2 Cor 11:14).  Knowing the Light of the World is what enables us to recognize false lights.  We must not be fooled by Satan’s disguises.

“Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.  You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?  So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit.  A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.” Matthew 7:15-18 (NASB)
