Failure can be a blessing.  It can keep you humble.  It teaches you what did not work.  It lets you join the rest of the imperfect human family.  Having failed, you can work more diligently, study harder and depend on God more fully.  All of us have had our failures.  We have had times when we were ashamed of the way we acted, the way we messed up and even for our wrong motives that drove it.  Failure must not define us nor paralyze us.  We are not defined by a single moment of doubt, a single failure, nor a single sin. Getting up, trying, living again, growing, and serving all defines us.

“Forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 3:13b-14 (ESV)
