Stoics don’t cry.  Men don’t cry.  Big boys don’t cry.  Big girls don’t cry.  But they do!  They all do!  If they don’t, they should.  Don’t repress or deny your pain.  Don’t keep back that release.  Relearn how to cry.  Let the healing begin.  Let your tenderness be restored.  Tears can release something deep within.  Tears can be nonverbal prayers.  It may surprise you when tears break a chain and bring you to a new washed place.

“I am weary with my moaning; every night I flood my bed with tears; I drench my couch with my weeping.” Psalm 6:6 (NRSV)
