The moments in our lives are like snowflakes; no two of them are the same.  We may repeat something today that we did yesterday, but it is different.  The second time we do something, it is different than the first because we are different.  The changes in us are unnoticeable from day to day, but they are there nonetheless.  Our repetitions in behavior may mean that we are more free or more in bondage, more mature or less, gentler or harsher, etc.  The point of all this is that our moments are a gift toward our maturity, formation, and growth in Christlikeness.  We are being shaped one moment at a time.  Treasure the moments.  Value them like gold.

“Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.” Psalm 90:12 (NIV)
