Christians are people, not of the Mosaic law, but of the royal law of love. It is now “newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter” (Rom 7:6). The Spirit who inspired the Bible lives in us. “And I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes” (Ez 36:27). “I will put My law within them, and on their heart I will write it” (Jer 31:33). The ascended Messiah gives the Spirit. Eph 5:18 is literally, “Be being filled with Spirit.”
“Therefore having been exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He has poured forth this which you both see and hear” Acts 2:33 (NASB).
