Radical discipleship weds us to Christ.  Casual discipleship pushes us into the arms of the prevailing culture. If you don’t stick to a Christ-centered agenda, then the world has another agenda for you each morning when you get up.  We must be intentional and disciplined about our spiritual goals.  It dictates how we spend our time and energy.  It sets parameters.  It gives us focus.  It keeps us away from the low road and leads us to the high road.

Still another said, “I will follow you, Lord; but first let me go back and say good-by to my family.”  Jesus replied, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:61-62 (NIV)
