We like to read the Word of God for information. Information is something we have, we own, we possess. It is under our control to “use” and “dispense”. It puts us in the driver’s seat. The Word was not given for our information, but for our transformation. It is given to transform our character, our actions and our reactions. The written Word was given to point us to the Living Word, given to shape us like the Speaker of the Word. Transformation is the desired end and purpose for which the Word was made flesh. Father, thank You for the way Your words keep forming and transforming us!
