There is a connection between holiness, the hunger for it, and the pursuit of it.  Our passion for holiness is a prerequisite for a life of holiness.  There is little progress without a total consecration to the process.  The hungry run after it (Heb 12:14).  Hunger for holiness is nothing more than hunger for the fullness of Christ (1 Cor 1:30).  Christlikeness is holiness.  To look somewhere else for holiness besides Christ is either being misguided or idolatrous.  Christ is our Holy Way.  Hunger to walk with Him, hunger to be like Him, and you will find that He will satisfy the cravings of your heart.

“A highway shall be there, and it shall be called the Holy Way; the unclean shall not travel on it, but it shall be for God’s people; no traveler, not even fools, shall go astray.” Isaiah 35:8 (NRSV)
