The path to holiness leads through the humanity of Jesus.  We think that the sanctifying work comes only from the divine nature of Jesus.  It took the undivided nature of the God-Man to make the holiness of our exalted Father touchable in the Man Jesus.  Follow the human Jesus and you will find one who met evil head on.  He encountered Satan himself.  He was tested without caving and tempted without yielding.  He was holiness in the flesh teaching us the way of holiness.  He is our Holy Way, made accessible by the victorious life He lived in this world.

“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who in every respect has been tested as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:15-16 (NRSV)
