If you don’t read Christian literature that is sometimes over your head, then your head will never get any higher than it is right now.  As shown below, Peter had a hard time understanding Paul, but he did not reject his writings.  Addition and multiplication facts were above our head until we learned them.  This foundation enabled us to move on to even higher things.  So it is with the things of God.  Study.  Struggle.  Read and reread.  Meditate.  Move beyond the low plains to higher ground.  You may not understand everything, but you can splash around in it and some of it will get on you.

“Our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him,  as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures.” 2 Peter 3:15b-16 (ESV)
