“The Lord has really risen and has appeared to Simon” Luke 24:34. Jesus appeared even to Simon! The one who denied Him. The one who forsook Him, in spite of his protest that he would not. The one who could not stay awake in a desperate prayer meeting. For Jesus to do so was sheer grace! Forgiveness! Unconditional love! New beginning! When we think of our own failures, we can all say, “Even to me!” Thanks be to God! Even to me!
