We can lose our focus when we look at what others have. “Do not let your heart envy sinners, But live in the fear of the LORD always” Proverbs 23:17 (NASB). If we are not careful when we look at persons who have attained riches, honor, and notoriety, our hearts can be turned aside from the Lord. When envy and covetousness enter, the tempter gains a foothold in our minds. Do not envy! The Lord is our portion, and He is more than enough!
