Defending ourselves may imply that we are not trusting our Defender. We cannot justify ourselves before people. Since God knows our heart, it is enough. Stand for truth and someone will not like it. Be kind and courteous to all. Listen to their side of the story. Clarify if you need to, but be sure to live for the ultimate approval of God and not for the approval of people. He is the one we serve, and His “well done” will be enough.
